Footwear Friends Annual Awards Presentations 2019
October 9th, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm
This year the charity once again celebrates its Footwear Friends Annual Awards. It is delighted to promote the youth of today who will hopefully go on and be very successful.
We will be holding this year’s event at the Crypt on the Green, situated in Clerkenwell, London. The current building dates back to 1792 and is located below St. James’s Church, Clerkenwell. In more recent years the Crypt was used for filming an episode of “Songs of Praise”, also in the video of Katie Melua’s song “Two bare feet” and the exterior of the church featured briefly in the film “About a boy”.
The main event will be the presentation of the Annual Awards which have been sponsored by the Worshipful Company of Cordwainers, Micro-Pak Limited and the British Footwear Association. We are grateful to all our Awards and event sponsors, namely Dune London, Start-rite Shoes Limited, Skechers UK, Shoezone and Pavers, without whom these Annual Awards would not be possible.
Drinks and canapes will be served during the evening and as an added attraction there will be a raffle. All proceeds will be used directly to assist footwear colleagues who have fallen on hard times.
Some of the designs from this year’s entrants will be displayed on the night and you will get the opportunity to meet with the young entrepreneurs.
